We have always set out to house Dose & Co collagen powders in packaging that is plastic-free and sustainable. We made the decision to better balance sustainability with sturdiness, by transitioning our tubs to tin-based ones. These are still fully recyclable, and tin can is one of the most commonly recycled materials there is. Please always follow your local council guidelines when it comes to recycling and add your tub to the appropriate recycling bin.

Are your products vegan or made from vegan collagen?
No. Our collagen products are based on bovine and/or marine collagen, sourced from animal by-products, and as such are not vegan or suitable for vegans. There are currently no true vegan sources of collagen, and as such other ‘vegan’ collagens on the market are typically based on amino acids, which aren’t the same thing. Rest assured all of our collagen is sourced ethically and sustainably. Our raw material collagens are byproducts from farming and fishing industries, and our manufacturing partners operate according to standards based on the ‘Five Freedoms’ established by the World Organization for Animal Health.
Where do you source your marine collagen?

What is the recommended serving of your products?
The label on your tub will always have the most accurate information for that particular product. If you need help interpreting the product information found on your packaging, feel free to Contact Us.
How many grams of collagen per serving are your products?
This differs between products in some regions, however Dose & Co collagen powders contain a minimum of 10 grams (10,000mg) of collagen per serving.
Why didn’t my Dose come with a scoop?
We ditched our scoops in an effort to minimise the use of plastic and further our environmental consciousness as a brand. We hope you can appreciate this desire to reduce waste. You might like to use your kitchen scales or baking (measuring) spoons to measure out the recommended serving size.
Your recommended serving size does not match my kitchen teaspoon or tablespoon.
The teaspoon and/or tablespoon suggestions we provide are a suggestion only, and you should go by the weight listed in the serving size information on your tub. We recommend using kitchen scales (the ones you use for baking) to measure out the serving size the first time you take your collagen so that you have a good idea of what it looks like. Due to variations in density, this can differ from product to product. Measuring teaspoons and tablespoons are also generally more accurate, so you could try using those instead of kitchen spoons.
How much collagen should I take per day?
Please refer to the product label for the recommended daily serving. We do not recommend exceeding this without first consulting your healthcare professional.
Can I have more than one serving of collagen per day?
Our recommended serving size will provide you with enough collagen and other active ingredients required to achieve the desired effect. While it might be tempting to want to ‘supercharge’ your results, we have already created our formulas with your optimal results in mind, and consuming more than this may not necessarily have additional benefits due to the way the body is able to absorb and process collagen and other ingredients. Consuming too much collagen/protein can also throw off the balance of amino acids in your body which may cause side effects such as digestive issues or headaches. If you'd like to take more than our recommended daily serving, please consult your healthcare professional first.
Can I take two different collagen products at the same time?
Yes, you are able to combine different Dose & Co products, however we do not suggest exceeding the equivalent of one recommended serving size per day. The easiest way to measure this if you are wanting to take two collagen products at a time is to consume half the daily serving size of one product, and half of the other.
When should I consume Dose & Co?
You can consume Dose & Co at any time of the day, morning or night. Collagen is high in protein content, and eating a high-protein breakfast has been shown to support weight loss and has also been linked to hormone and glucose regulation when incorporated into a healthy diet. Anecdotally, eating a high-protein breakfast can help you feel fuller for longer. However there is no definitive evidence around the best time to consume collagen, so we say the best time of day is the time you’ll remember to take it.
When is the best time to consume Collagen Protein Powder?
Consuming protein 45-60 minutes prior to, or within 30 minutes after, exercise is best as it can contribute to the growth of muscle mass and the development of lean muscle. Protein also contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and is necessary for tissue building and repair. Our Collagen Protein Powder comes in several flavours, and goes best in cold drinks such as smoothies, coffee, breakfasts such as oats, plus recipes such as homemade protein bars and balls. Check out ourRecipespage for inspiration.
Can Dose & Co powders be used as a meal replacement?
No, Dose & Co powders should not be used as a meal replacement. They can be added to your usual beverages, smoothies and snacks, or into meal recipes and baking, however consuming Dose & Co alone is not a substitute for a healthy and balanced diet.
Where should I store my Dose & Co products?
We recommend storing your tub of Dose & Co in a cool, dry place free from moisture and direct sunlight.
Can I consume the product after the best before date?
All of our products have a shelf life that ranges from 24-48 months (two to four years) and a Best Before date is printed on your tub. We encourage that they are consumed before the Best Before date to get the most out of them, but if stored properly the product can be used past its Best Before date. However, if you notice any strange odors, tastes, clumping, or spoilage, it’s best to discard the product.
Does heat impact the effectiveness of collagen powder?
You may have read that collagen can lose its effectiveness when exposed to heat, however this only applies to extremely high temperatures, as collagen can maintain its integrity up to around 300 °C / 570°F. In other words, there is no need to worry about adding it to common hot beverages or recipes. We have conducted testing on our finished formulas in hot and cold beverages (such as tea and coffee) and recipes (like the ones you can find here) and found them to be highly stable.

Dose & Co products have been scientifically shown to increase skin hydration, improve skin elasticity and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
When can I expect to see results?
Dose & Co was founded in 2019 by registeaGenerally, changes can occur in the first 4-8 weeks. Some people do notice changes in their hair, skin and/or nails in the first couple of weeks, but keep in mind that each person’s experience will differ, as will their results. As collagen is present in our joints, bones, cartilage, tendons and ligaments, changes can also be internal. Can I take collagen while pregnant?
While we have plenty of pregnant women who consume Dose & Co, ultimately any vitamins and supplements you’re taking during this time are at the discretion of you and your doctor, and we recommend consulting them before beginning or continuing to use Dose & Co in your diet. Pregnant women typically have a higher sensitivity to marine products and as such we don’t recommend our Marine Collagen during this time.
Can I take collagen while breastfeeding?
We hear from lots of breastfeeding women who see great results from using Dose & Co to support their overall postpartum wellbeing and help with common post-pregnancy side effects such as hair loss and hair thinning. However, any vitamins and supplements you choose to consume while breastfeeding are ultimately at the discretion of you and your doctor, and we recommend consulting them before beginning or continuing to use Dose & Co as a part of your diet.
Can my child consume collagen powder?
Dose & Co was designed with adults in mind, and while collagen has no known harmful effects for children, we recommend checking with their healthcare professional before adding Dose & Co or any other supplement to their diet. Bear in mind that our collagen levels are naturally highest when we are young, and so there is no real need to supplement collagen levels in children and teenagers—unless especially desired or recommended by a doctor.
Can men use collagen?
Yes! Collagen has exactly the same benefits for men as it does for women, and can help support universal concerns such as hair growth and hair density. Our nutritional information and recommended dosage is based on an adult diet.
Could I be allergic to collagen?
While allergies to collagen itself are rare, they are possible. Some of our products also contain common allergens such as dairy, soy and fish. Please refer to the product label for a full list of ingredients and possible allergens. If you have any concerns or experience a reaction, please discontinue use and consult your health care professional.
