If you’re on Instagram or TikTok, you’ve no doubt come across the Hailey Bieber Erewhon Strawberry Glaze Smoothie. The Rhode founder created the now-famous smoothie (touted as “the yummiest skin supporting smoothie”) with the organic market to celebrate the launch of her beauty brand Rhode, with her bestselling products centred around her signature ‘glazed skin’ look—and it’s been all over our feeds ever since.
SO WHAT’S IN HAILEY BIEBER’S STRAWBERRY GLAZE SMOOTHIE?
The Erewhon Market website lists its ingredients as almond milk, dates, vanilla collagen, sea moss, coconut crème, maple syrup, hyaluronic acid, strawberries, avocado, vanilla stevia and housemade strawberry glaze. The real thing will set you back US$18 (approx. NZ$31), and of course is only available at Erewhon, so if you’re looking for a dupe, we’ve got a delicious strawberry smoothie recipe that will do the trick.
Combining the fruitiness of strawberries with the sweetness of dates and maple syrup, the creaminess of almond milk and avocado, and the beauty-boosting benefits of Beauty Collagen (complete with collagen, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C), this smoothie has everything but the price tag. So whether you're looking for a morning pick-me-up or a mid-day refreshment, give this Strawberry Beauty Smoothie a whirl and consider yourself glazed.
1 serving Dose & Co Beauty Collagen
½ cup almond milk
1 frozen banana
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
2 medjool dates - pitted, remove the pit
Optional glaze: take fresh chopped strawberries and blend using a blender, before straining into a serving glass. Alternatively you can use 1 tsp of natural strawberry jam
Optional yoghurt: 1 tbsp coconut yogurt or thick Greek yogurt
BLEND THE STRAWBERRY BEAUTY SMOOTHIE:
In a blender, combine the almond milk, frozen banana, frozen strawberries, Beauty Collagen, avocado, maple syrup (if desired), and the pitted medjool dates. Blend until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined, creating a smooth and creamy texture.
PREPARE THE GLASS WITH GLAZE (OPTIONAL):
For an added touch of flavour, you can create a glaze using fresh strawberries or natural strawberry jam. To make the glaze, cut the tops off fresh strawberries, quarter them, and blend them into a smooth puree. Strain this puree into a serving glass. If you prefer, you can simply use 1 tsp of natural strawberry jam instead.
COAT THE GLASS WITH YOGURT (OPTIONAL):
For an extra layer of creaminess and presentation, coat the sides of the glass with coconut yogurt or thick Greek yogurt. This step adds a lovely contrast to the smoothie and enhances its visual appeal.
POUR AND SERVE:
Pour the strawberry beauty smoothie into the prepared glass with the glaze or strawberry jam base. The contrasting layers create a feed-worthy final result!
